Aragonese tourism continues to be at a record level. This July saw the highest number of travellers and overnight stays in the last five years, already exceeding those of 2019, as reflected by the National Institute of Statistics (INE) in its Hotel Occupancy Survey. In total there were 297,659 travellers, 4% more than last year, and 592,526 overnight stays, 2.2% more.
The national traveller continues to have more weight, accounting for 76.5% of the total, while the foreign traveller has decreased slightly compared to July 2023 (-2.5%) and has not yet reached the pre-pandemic figure. Therefore, in terms of overnight stays, those made by residents in Spain (460,488) also stand out compared to foreigners (132,038).
By province, Zaragoza continues to lead with 148,720 travellers, followed by Huesca with 113,733 travellers and Teruel with 35,206 travellers. In terms of overnight stays, the province of Huesca leads with 259,786, closely followed by Zaragoza with 258,551 and, finally, Teruel with 74,189.
