The collection of food and material for Valencia ends at the University Civic Centre. After six intense days, in which the collaboration and delivery of material by the citizens has not ceased, both in El Refugio (during the long weekend) and in the Civic Centre (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday), a total of 390,000 kilos have been collected , which have been sent to the Military Emergency Unit in Valencia. Today alone, 90,000 kilos of material have been collected.
To achieve this, the collaboration of 250 municipal volunteers was necessary, including members of social entities, neighbourhood associations, AMPAs and municipal workers, who during these six days have helped to properly store the products for shipment.
The City Council and El Refugio would like to thank the company Carreras for its work as an essential collaborator in storing and transporting all the merchandise to Valencia, as well as Saica, Aragonesa de palets Arapal and Cervezas Ambar for the delivery of pallets.
The campaign has been a success in terms of participation and, once again, a demonstration of the solidarity and response of the people of Zaragoza to the tragedy, who have not hesitated to come forward to collaborate to the extent of their possibilities.
Finally, remember that you can make financial donations through the bank account, the enabled bizum and the solidarity gala, to then channel this help to the most urgent needs.
