The Aragonese Institute for Development is currently participating in South Summit. This fair is the largest event in Southern Europe dedicated to open innovation and entrepreneurship. In addition to representatives and technical staff from IAF, 11 startups attended the fair to showcase their products and services with the aim of finding investors and new clients. These startups include Bioclonal, Etiqmedia, Nexio, Sfice, Lirio Bionics, Switching Consulting, The MindKind, Voicefinder, Xelab Hub, Snailstep, and Teleker.
Participation in this event is part of the TechFabLab project, in which Aragon is participating alongside the regions of Navarre, Cantabria, Catalonia, La Rioja, and Valencia. The project is funded with Next Generation funds through the Territorial Networks of Technological Specialization initiative of the Government of Spain’s Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.
Institutional representatives from the six autonomous communities participated this morning in a roundtable discussion where they explained the progress this project is bringing to their communities. Representing Aragon was Daniel Rey, Managing Director of the Aragonese Institute for Development. He highlighted the support of the Government of Aragon for digital entrepreneurship with acceleration programs based on disruptive technologies and calls for grants aimed at promoting innovative technology-based companies, contributing to the diversification of the business community and to the economic and social development of Aragon.
He also emphasized that “ South Summit is a great opportunity for startups in our ecosystem to make their presence felt in an international market.” “For our entrepreneurs, being able to meet with high-level investors and connect with other startups in their ecosystem not only provides them with a business opportunity, but is also a way to grow their projects with new perspectives ,” he stated.
The startups participating in the IAF were able to present their products and services at a pitch. Through presentations like this, the fair seeks to connect startups with investors who can help them grow their projects.
