Marc Márquez reigns again in Aragón: third consecutive victory at MotorLand

Marc Márquez continues his winning streak at the Aragon Grand Prix . The Ducati rider secured his third consecutive victory in the feature race at MotorLand , and with his win in the Sprint Race, he climbs to second place in the standings , 19 points behind Jorge Martín.

Just like at the start of Saturday’s Sprint Race, Marc Márquez managed to overtake Marco Bezzecchi at the first corner . However, he ran wide and was passed by both the Italian and Jorge Martín. The Ducati rider quickly retaken the lead from the championship leader and from the second lap onwards began chasing the Aprilia rider.

In the opening laps, Pedro Acosta slotted into the top three, while Álex Márquez dropped to fourth. 
On lap seven, Marc Márquez and Acosta overtook Bezzecchi , who didn’t challenge the two Spanish riders. Meanwhile, Raúl Fernández was forced to retire, and Pecco Bagnaia crashed early on.

Up until the halfway point of the race, Acosta remained glued to Marc, who pulled away on the straights due to the Ducati’s greater power but closed the gap in the corners. However, from lap fourteen onwards, Márquez shifted into a higher gear and extended his lead to over a second, finishing the race ahead.

Pedro Acosta finished second, never having any trouble with Bezzecchi, who completed the podium. Alex Márquez had to settle for fourth , far behind the top three. Jorge Martín managed to minimize the damage with his fifth-place finish. He remains the championship leader, although Marc, on a winning streak, is now hot on his heels.

More than 115,000 spectators watched this Aragon Grand Prix at MotorLand, an idyllic venue for Márquez: since 2024 he has had three perfect weekends there , winning both the Sprint Race and the feature race. In 2027 he will have another opportunity to further cement his legendary status.
