Like every spring, the Aragon Natural Network launches its popular “Natural Fridays”; a program of guided walks through the surroundings of five Protected Natural Areas in one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. The initiative, promoted by the General Directorate of Environmental Education of the Government of Aragon , starts this Friday, April 12 and will once again occupy every Friday morning until May 31. All walks to enjoy the environment  will start at 10:00 a.m. and end at 12:15 p.m. and it is necessary to register at www.rednaturaldearagon.com.

“Natural Fridays” seeks to promote nature walks so that participants can enjoy the benefits that come with contact with the natural environment and physical exercise while learning about the fauna, flora, traditions or biodiversity that host these areas.

In total there are six guided walks that will be carried out, all of them without difficulty and without great physical demand.

TWO TOURS FROM POSETS MALADETA NATURAL PARK

The Posets Maladeta Natural Park , which has the two highest peaks in Aragon (Aneto and Posets or Llardana), can be discovered on these healthy walks thanks to two routes. One of them will be carried out around Benasque, one of the most beautiful towns in the Autonomous Community.

“Between meadows and ravines” is the path that will start from the surroundings of Benasque, capital of the valley, along the Camino de La Saleta. It is a short itinerary that starts from the town center and advances, as its name indicates, between meadows to enter a forest until reaching the Pichirillo viewpoint. This mixed forest has great beauty and a great variety of species such as hazelnuts, birches, pines, oaks or boxwoods, among others.

This will take place on April 12, 19 and 26 and May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 and will depart from the Benasque Interpretation Center.

The second of the visits is “Touring the banks of the Zinqueta”, designed by the San Juan de Plan Interpretation Center. A river route in which walkers will be able to enjoy different types of trees, bushes and flowers, in addition to learning about the tradition of the orchards of this area of mountain valleys. The tour will depart from the San Juan de Plan Interpretation Center and can be done on April 26 and May 3, 17 and 31.
