A French woman dies while canyoning in the Pyrenees

The woman was in the Conusa ravine, in the municipality of Revilla and the notice was received at 11:10 a.m.

53-year-old French woman died this Sunday while canyoning in the Conusa ravine, in the municipality of Revilla. The troops received the notice at 11:10 a.m. and Greim de Boltaña , the UA de Huesca crew and Doctor 061 went to the scene.

After flying over the area and using a crane cycle, the specialists descended and located the body of the canyoner inside a riverbed , extracting her and after being examined by the 061 doctor, only death could be certified.

The body was evacuated to the Boltaña helipad , from where a hearse took it to the Huesca mortuary for the autopsy .

THREE MORE RESCUES THIS SUNDAY

In addition, this Sunday three more rescues were carried out, according to reports from 112 SOS Aragón. At 07:00 a.m. a skier was rescued who was in the vicinity of the La Renclusa Shelter , in the municipality of Benasque, who was suffering from a knee injury . The Benasque Greim, Huesca Air Unit and Medical Unit 061 were activated, who evacuated the victim to the Benasque Helisurface, from where she continued on her own.

At around 12:45 p.m. another notice was received, which reported that a 31-year-old French climber had suffered a fall while ascending the Vía del Ibón , in the Balneario de Panticosa in the Tena Valley. She was activated by Greim de Panticosa, UA de Huesca crew and Doctor 061 and, after being located, she was evacuated to the Panticosa heliport, from where a conventional ambulance took her to the San Jorge Hospital in Huesca.

The last notice this Sunday was received at 2:05 p.m., in which it was reported that a hiker who was in the vicinity of Pico Gratal could not continue the hike because he felt unwell. The Greim of Huesca was immediately activated and went to the place in an official 4×4 vehicle and, after being attended to on site, he was transferred to his private vehicle from where he continued on his own.

THREE RESCUES ON FRIDAY

On the other hand, on Friday two more rescues were carried out in the Pyrenees. On Friday at 11:45 a.m., a hiker , 45 years old and a resident of Lérida, who was in the Cap de Llauset Shelter, in the municipality of Montanuy, was rescued. She was not emotionally in a position to continue with the hike. activity , so Greim Benasque, Huesca Air Unit and Medical 061, was activated, after receiving medical assistance on site, she was evacuated to the Benasque helisurface from where she continued under her own power. 

Furthermore, at 1:00 p.m. a notice was received, in which it was reported that a 29-year-old canyoner from Granada , who was in the Barranco del Mascún (municipal district of Bierge), suffered a shoulder injury that prevented him from continuing. with the activity . Greim Huesca, Huesca Air Unit and Doctor 061 were activated, after flying over the area and locating the injured person, his extraction was carried out using a crane cycle, and he was evacuated to the Huesca airport where he was transferred to a conventional ambulance with the final destination to the Hospital. FOUR RESCUES ON SATURDAY

On Saturday, the troops carried out four rescues in the mountain range. The first notice was received around 12:30 p.m., in which it was reported that a hiker, 51 years old and resident of Zaraqgoza, who was doing a snowshoe route in the vicinity of Pico Canal Roya (municipal district of Canfranc), was suffering from a tingling in the upper and lower extremities that prevented him from continuing with the activity. Greim de Jaca, Huesca Air Unit and Doctor 061 were activated, after being located she was evacuated to the Jaca helisurface from where a conventional ambulance took her to the Regional Hospital of Jaca.

At 1:45 p.m. a new notice was received, stating that a skier, 45 years old and from Navarra, had suffered a fall that had caused a possible ankle fracture, while descending the north face of Pico Aspe ( municipality of Aisa). She was activated by Greim del Jaca, crew of UA de Huesca and Doctor 061, after being located she was evacuated to the Jaca heliport, from where a conventional ambulance took her to the Regional Hospital of Jaca.

The third notice of the day was received at 3:30 p.m., reporting that two climbers from Madrid, aged 48 and 58, were stuck at the end of the Diagonal del Maldito corridor , in Benasque. Greim de Benasque was activated with a crew from the UA of Huesca, after flying over the area and being located, they were introduced into the aircraft after partial support of it on the ridge, to be evacuated to the Coronas shelter from where they continued on your means.

The last warning of the day was received around 7:45 p.m., in which it was reported that two climbers, a 42-year-old woman from Zaragoza and a 32-year-old man from Madrid, were unharmed and stuck on the western summit of Peña Foratata (municipal district of Sallent of Gállego). Greim Panticosa, Huesca Air Unit and Medical 061 were immediately activated, after they were located they were evacuated.
