The legendary actor Viggo Mortensen will visit the Palafox cinemas in Zaragoza next Thursday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m. for the preview with a discussion of his new film “Hasta el fin del mundo”, which he directs, writes, stars in and composes its music. After the screening of the film at VOSE, there will be a discussion with the guest in which viewers will be able to participate.
Premiered worldwide at the last Toronto Festival, where it garnered great reviews, this romantic and modern western stars Vicky Krieps, one of the great European actresses of the moment and star, among others, of “The Rebel Empress” (for which she won the Female Performance Award at the European Film Awards), alongside Viggo Mortensen, accompanied by Dany Huston, Solly Mcleod and Garry Dillahunt, among others.
After having been nominated for his work as an actor for numerous international awards – three times nominated for an Oscar as a male lead, for “Green Book” , “Captain Fantastic” and “Eastern Promises” – the Golden Globes and the Baftas, among many others, Viggo Mortensen returns behind the cameras as director, in this love story set in the Old West in the mid-19th century.
Mortensen, who made his directorial debut with “Falling” in 2020, is the author of the film’s music and once again includes part of the creative team from his first feature film for “Hasta el fin del mundo”, director of photography Marcel Zyskind (“As in Heaven”), production designers Carol Spier (“Eastern Promises”) and Jason Clarke (“Black Mirror”), costume designer Anne Dixon (“The Song of Names”) and editor Peder Pedersen .
