And, although there are certain doubts on the street, the answer for now is clear. Yes, you can smoke in the swimming pools of Zaragoza , although exclusively in the grass areas . This means that you cannot smoke in water areas, in covered spaces, in pergolas or on bar terraces. In addition, the Zaragoza City Council has an awareness campaign for smoke-free spaces with the name “healthy pools” to avoid this practice as much as possible.

Although the city has more and more pet-friendly spaces , the truth is that municipal swimming pools are not one of them. In this sense, it is prohibited to introduce dogs or other animals (with the exception of guide dogs).

CAN FOOD BE BROUGHT IN?

It is another of the big questions. Especially for those pools that have a bar or restaurant service . The regulations do allow in this case access with food and drink . The only requirements are that it is not carried in glass or earthenware containers and not taken out on the grass or in living areas. In many facilities there are tables in the pergolas or bar areas where you can eat.

It must also be clarified that, from Monday to Friday until 2:00 p.m., if we process the departure at the ticket office, they must let us go home to eat and return in the afternoon without paying a new entrance fee . On Saturdays, Sundays and holidays this practice is only allowed where there is no bar service.

MUSIC IN THE POOL, YES OR NO

The regulations for municipal swimming pools specify that any activity that does not disturb other users can be carried out on the grass . And, although it does not specify all that are allowed, it does put special emphasis on music equipment . For this reason, special attention and care is requested with the volume of the speakers , although their use is not prohibited.

CAN I PUT A MAT IN THE WATER?

Although when we go to the beach, mats or inflatables are one of the great attractions for playing in the waves, in swimming pools the regulations are quite strict with them and other objects that may or may not enter this space. On the one hand, it cannot be accessed with masks, diving goggles, fins or rigid mittens, inflatables in general or goggles . Muffs and bubbles are limited to paddling pools. In the latter, swimming boards, “pull-boys” and churros are also allowed , always under direct supervision.

However, each adult may not enter with more than four minors in their care unless they belong to the same family unit. From that age onwards, minors will be able to access alone.
