Iberdrola has launched 10 charging points in Spain every working day so far in 2024, adding a total of 1,000 points in the year and thus reaching 7,000, of which 145 are in Aragon. In this way, it reinforces its leadership position as the most extensive public charging network in Spain.

To this infrastructure, already operational, there are nearly 2,000 more points under construction and more than 3,000 additional points awaiting different administrative procedures, which will be available in the coming months.

These figures show the company’s commitment to promoting sustainable mobility as a way to fight climate change and achieve more sustainable spaces. Of the infrastructure of 7,000 points, 2,000 of them are fast, super-fast and ultra-fast recharge. The points of more than 50 kW are part of the network operated by the Iberdrola alliance | bp press.

Iberdrola’s development of electric mobility also extends to the private sector in companies and residential clients, jointly reaching more than 50,000 charging points with the public network.

Iberdrola’s charging infrastructure is developed in the best locations and offers all charging speeds, allowing users to have at all times the type of point that best suits their needs. From charging in a longer parking lot to ultra-fast charging, between 5 and 10 minutes.

All points installed by Iberdrola have 100% green energy, from renewable sources with a guarantee of origin (GdOS), promoting totally emission-free mobility that contributes to decarbonization and improves air quality. The electric motor is the only technology based on renewable energy that is also efficient, silent, and allows us to achieve zero emissions.

PIONEERS IN SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY

The mobility plan, launched by the company in 2016, was a pioneer in being implemented. Today, its strategy includes the installation of more than 100,000 charging points by 2025, including public, residential, business and parking charging points.

To this end, its public infrastructure design is developed both on highways and corridors and in cities and small towns with the objective of having at least one fast charging station every less than 50 km.

The high-power charging points will be developed and operated by Iberdrola | bp pulse, 50:50 strategic alliance between both companies to lead the deployment of fast and ultra-fast public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Spain and Portugal.

All these charging points are available in the Iberdrola Public Recharging App, the most valued in the sector, in which you can view and geolocate verified information on all chargers, check their operation in real time and reserve and pay from your mobile phone.
