Zaragoza Airport has had its best June in passenger traffic since 2011, with 65,000 passengers, 11.2% more than the same month last year. It has also been the best for cargo since 2021, with more than 12,904 tons of merchandise, more than double that of last year (+118%). Thus, the number of operations has grown to reach 905, which is 10% more than in June 2023.
As regards passengers, of the 64,237 commercial travellers who have passed through the airport in Zaragoza during the last month, a total of 37,452 correspond to international passengers (+17.6%), while 26,785 (+0.8%) have flown to or from a Spanish city.
Of the 714 commercial operations recorded in June, international operations were the most numerous, with 496 (+36.6%), while domestic operations reached 218 flights (-1.4%).
FIRST SEMESTER
In the first six months of the year, freight traffic reached more than 78,550 tonnes, which is 44.3% more than in the same period last year. The number of operations stood at 4,805 between January and June, which represents an increase of 4.2% compared to the previous year.
The number of passengers who passed through the airport during this period was 327,057, which represents a decrease of 0.6% compared to the same dates in 2023.
