Are you travelling from Zaragoza from November onwards? Keep an eye out for these changes in flight days and times

Airlines are preparing to leave the summer period behind and make way for the autumn-winter season with important changes in the flights offered that will affect destinations departing from Zaragoza Airport

The return of students to school and the imminent arrival of autumn are two of the signs that indicate that the holidays have come to an end, and with them, travel. For this reason, airlines are preparing to leave the summer period behind and make way for the autumn-winter season with important changes in the flights offered, both in their days and in their schedules, and which will also affect tourist destinations departing from Zaragoza Airport.

Over the next few months, the usual drop in the number of passengers travelling from the capital of Aragon is expected, and for this reason, different companies have informed through their websites that some flights to Italy, Morocco or Gran Canaria will be withdrawn and that they will be effective from next November. These are the changes in the schedules of flights departing from Zaragoza Airport:

INTERNATIONAL

Starting next November, various flights departing from Zaragoza Airport to destinations such as Bologna, Milan, Venice, Fez, Paris, London, Budapest, Cluj or Brussels will be modified.

FLIGHTS TO ITALY

Ryanair is responsible for connecting Zaragoza with several Italian cities and will implement several changes to its routes this autumn. Firstly, the airline will eliminate the Bologna route at the end of October, as it does every year after the summer season.

The flights from Zaragoza to Milan-Bergamo, which are operated three times a week, will also be subject to modifications . From November, this frequency will be reduced to two weekly flights. On Mondays, the flight will take off at 18:40, while on Fridays, the time will be at 12:45, facilitating weekend getaways. On the other hand, the return flights from Milan will also be adjusted to these days, with departures on Mondays at 16:10 and on Fridays at 10:25.

In addition, flights to Venice – Treviso will be changed. Currently, flights are operated on Mondays and Thursdays, but from November, flights will be scheduled on Mondays at 18:15 and on Fridays at 19:25.

FLIGHTS TO MOROCCO

As regards flights from Zaragoza to MoroccoRyanair will eliminate one of the two weekly flights that currently link the capital of Aragon with the neighbouring country. From November, the route to Fez, which operated twice a week, will be cancelled.

The popular connection to Marrakech will continue, however, albeit with adjustments to the days and times of the flights. From the end of October, flights to this destination will take place on Mondays at 9.55am and on Saturdays at 9.40pm, offering options for both weekend breaks and longer stays.

FLIGHTS TO PARIS

One of the most popular flights departing from Zaragoza Airport is Paris Beauvais. Currently, flights to the French capital operate on Mondays and Thursdays, but from November, they will be moved to Fridays and Sundays to facilitate weekend getaways to the French capital.

Return flights from Paris will depart at 6:20 a.m. on Sundays and 1:50 p.m. on Fridays.

FLIGHTS TO LONDON

Those wishing to visit London this autumn and winter will benefit from the airline changes. In addition to the four weekly flights from Zaragoza to London Stansted, Ryanair will add a fifth weekly flight from November, extending travel options to Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

FLIGHTS TO ROMANIA

Wizz Air, the airline responsible for connecting Zaragoza with Romania, has also presented some changes to its flights starting in November to Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca.

Currently, there are four weekly frequencies to Bucharest, departing on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. However, in November, the frequency will be reduced to three weekly flights. These will be on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

On the other hand, Cluj – Napoca is one of the most popular destinations to get to know Romania up close. Currently, there are four weekly flights, but from November, the frequencies will be reduced to two flights, operating on Mondays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m.

FLIGHTS TO BRUSSELS

From November, those interested in visiting Brussels from Zaragoza Airport will have to extend their itinerary. Currently, there are two weekly flights from the Aragonese capital to Charleroi Airport, on Thursdays and Sundays.

However, after the changes, flights will now operate on Mondays at 9:05 a.m. and on Saturdays at 4:20 p.m.

NATIONAL

As for domestic flights from Zaragoza, the schedules to Santiago de Compostela have been adjusted and the route to Palma de Mallorca has also been cancelled.

FLIGHTS TO SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Ryanair will continue to offer two weekly flights to the Galician capital, although with schedule adjustments. From November, Monday flights will depart at 9.40 pm, and Saturday flights at 12.40 pm.

FLIGHTS TO PALMA DE MALLORCA

One of the most popular destinations among Aragonese during the summer is Palma de Mallorca. However, Ryanair will suspend this route from the last week of October, with plans to reactivate it for spring-summer 2025. However, passengers will still be able to fly to Palma with the airline Vueling.
