Since it opened in 2015, the Puerta Cinegia gastronomic space became a great attraction, motivated by an enviable location in Plaza España, an attractive culinary proposal and, among other things, the great ten-meter César Augusto that presided over the complex. The pandemic took it away and now it reopens its doors with new features and under the joint management of El Cachirulo and Grupo Aura.
The space does not have an exact opening date, but it will be operational at the end of September. First, as the management says, some “load tests” will be carried out behind closed doors to see how the area works before opening to the public. Whatever the case, for the Fiestas del Pilar, Zaragozans and tourists will be able to enjoy this new attraction.
A claim that will have stalls and restaurants for all tastes, from burger joints to grilled meat, rice dishes, croquettes, sweets or sandwiches. There will be a total of 14 gastronomic “stands” plus the central bar (some will remember it from the previous management) where drinks will be served. In the new space there will be three different areas. The first of these will be ” Vineyards “, located in the glass window with views of Plaza España, where diners can enjoy more special wines and tapas and portions, from oysters to calamari or puntillas.
Another of these areas that will occupy “an important space” is La Brasica, in the back of the space, which will have a 100% Aragonese gastronomic offer with meat as the main ingredient, although there will also be different portions. Finally, in these different areas is La Gatera Gastroteca, a space dedicated to private celebrations that can be rented by groups of friends, families or companies.
FROM RICE TO MEXICAN FOOD
With the aim of ensuring that every diner finds a gastronomic proposal to their liking, the new Puerta Cinegia will have establishments of all kinds. For example, Arroces Cinegia, Bless Burger (for those who can’t resist a good burger), La Bocatería for the classics or Las Birras (with imported beers) are some of the stands that can be found.
The offer is completed by Rodeo Tex Mex (Mexican-American food with nachos, chicken fingers, tenders…), Club Nikkei (Peruvian and Japanese fusion food), La Boutique (pizza and pasta in a Grupo La Mafia establishment), Mr Potato (fried potatoes, grilled potatoes…), Croquetarte and its endless selection of croquettes and Beher with a wide selection of ham, chorizo and Iberian cured meats. The sweet touch will be provided by the La Tentación stand, which will offer crepes, waffles and cakes, among other sweets.
NO LINES AND NEW THINGS TO ORDER
One of the main innovations that Puerta Cinegia will have at a logistical level is the way diners can order to avoid the long queues that formed at the doors of each “stand”. Thus, users will have a ” marketplace ” through a QR code that they can scan with their mobile phones, where all they have to do is add to their cart the dishes they fancy from each of the stands. After paying with their mobile phone, they will only have to wait for the dish to arrive at their table.
However, those who wish to can also go and pick it up at each of the stands and even get food to take away. However, the drink will have to be ordered and picked up at the central bar.
