Who hasn’t heard his iconic soundtracks for “ Dune ,” “ Gladiator ,” “ Interstellar ” or “ The Lion King ?” Behind them is Hans Zimmer, the successful composer who has won countless awards, including two Academy Awards and three Golden Globes.
All these songs and more will land on December 5 at the Pabellón Príncipe Felipe in Zaragoza, as part of the European tour of “ The World Of Hans Zimmer – A New Dimension,” which has already been a success in cities such as Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Madrid. The second part of the tour kicked off last weekend in Leipzig (Germany) with all tickets sold out. 8,000 attendees enjoyed the spectacular collection of Hans Zimmer’s works. His extraordinary melodies and modern compositions captivate a huge legion of fans around the world across generations, and by the end of this European tour, half a million people will have enjoyed this unique musical journey.
Matt Dunkley will be in charge of conjuring up these famous melodies live . A multiple Grammy nominee, he is one of the world’s leading orchestrators, arrangers and conductors. He has also had a long-standing collaboration with Hans Zimmer, which has been evident in blockbuster films such as the third and fourth installments of “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Inception,” “Batman: The Dark Knight,” “No Time To Die,” “Kung Fu Panda 3” and “Top Gun: Maverick.” He will perform alongside leading soloists from Zimmer’s talent pool, Odessa Orchestra and Friends and the Nairobi Chamber Choir. Hans Zimmer does not perform live on stage, but is involved as curator and musical director of the show.
The previous concert tour, “The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration,” first captivated audiences in Germany in 2018 and has since been a triumphant march around the world. The new album “The World of Hans Zimmer – Part II ‘A New Dimension'” is scheduled for release in December 2024 and features Hans Zimmer’s exclusive new orchestral suites performed on tour.
