Zaragoza Airport has closed November with a new historical cargo record. Last month was the month with the highest commercial cargo traffic, with 21,091 tons transported , which represents a growth of 50.6% compared to the same month in 2023.
The number of passengers and operations has also increased . Specifically, Zaragoza Airport recorded 48,461 passengers (+19.6%) and 931 landing and takeoff movements (+26.2%) in November.
Of the 47,231 commercial passengers, international passengers were the most numerous, with 29,174 (+8.1%), while 18,057 people (+35.7%) travelled to or from a Spanish city.
Zaragoza Airport handled 931 flights in November, of which 825 were commercial, representing an increase of 35.2% compared to the same month in 2023. Of these, 638 were international operations (+32.6%) and 187 were domestic (+45%).
DATA FROM JANUARY TO NOVEMBER
As for the cumulative data, up to November 2024, cargo facilities have registered 168,254 tonnes, 41.9% more than in the same period in 2023. The number of passengers reached 639,731 travellers (+0.6%) who travelled on 9,565 flights (+6.4%).
The airports of the Aena Group (comprising 46 airports and two heliports in Spain, London-Luton Airport and 17 airports in Brazil) closed the eleventh month of 2024 with 26,433,304 passengers, 8.7% more than in the same month of 2023; they managed 240,282 aircraft movements, 9.2% more; and transported 130,424 tonnes of merchandise, 14.1% more.
