The Teruel Provincial Council has established contacts with travel agencies and information agencies specialising in promoting tourism in five countries on the American continent – Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina and the United States – on the promotional tour organised by the Government of Aragon. The work now, – explained the Tourism Deputy, Marta Sancho -, is “to work with the province’s tourism business organisations to offer tourist packages with the attractions that most interest this public, such as heritage
or history .”
“We have done the initial work, which is to establish contacts and make them get to know us, and now what we have to do is give them what they are looking for,” Sancho explained.

Of the countries they have visited since last May , Sancho has highlighted the tourist possibilities that
Argentina offers : “Buenos Aires was a place where there was a lot of interest, with which we are connected, due to the flow of commercial activities that we also have” and due to historical relations.
But he also sees a lot of possibilities in Miami, which is the area of the United States where the promotion focused.
The MP wanted to thank the Government of Aragon for the opportunity it has given the province of Teruel to reach this public, not only through the Provincial Council of Teruel but also the business sector, associations and other entities. “It would be unfeasible for us to carry out this promotion individually.”
Among the attractions of the province for the public from these countries, Sancho has highlighted the culture, the heritage and also the affordable ski resorts, in contrast to the more expensive ones in the United States. Sancho was struck by the fact that in many of these places they knew about Teruel’s history of the lovers of Teruel, “which can be a tourist attraction.”
