Just a few weeks after Zaragoza Luce, the Aragonese capital will once again host a new festival this weekend,
March 21-23. This time, it’s the second edition of Hola Primavera, which, beyond the entire program, will once again feature a new artistic intervention on the Puente de Piedra bridge.
In this case, it will be the Berlin-based artistic duo Plastique Fantastique who will take over from the much-photographed Colossi or white giants by creating a spectacular large-format installation consisting of a large gold ring on the banks of the Ebro River.
The installation, called “Ring de Luxe”, which welcomes this spring, also evokes the ellipse drawn by the Earth, with its translational movement, around the Sun marking the Spring Equinox according to its position.
The artistic proposal, which encourages people to go out, enjoy public spaces, and connect with the beauty that surrounds us, has received a favorable report from the Zaragoza Provincial Cultural Heritage Commission and has already been featured, among other events, in Paris’s Nuit Blanche in 2023. At that time, it was located on the Léopold Sédar Senghor Passerelle. It was also previously presented at the Kulturfestival in Berlin in 2011.
