Zaragoza is preparing to host the fifth edition of the ZGZ Florece Festival, a well-established event that will fill the Parque Grande José Antonio Labordeta with color, music, gastronomy, and floral art from May 22 to 25. This event, which has won over Zaragoza residents and visitors alike, will once again spill beyond the park to extend its vibrant atmosphere to other surrounding spaces. On this occasion, fashion becomes the common thread of a program that invites all audiences to immerse themselves in a creative and sensorial universe.
One of the main attractions of this edition will be the participation of renowned Belgian floral artist Tomas De Bruyne, whose intervention on the Battler’s Steps promises to be one of the most spectacular. Internationally recognized for his ability to transform spaces through the use of flowers, De Bruyne stands out for his spectacular style and multisensory approach. His works not only seek aesthetic beauty, but also a deeper connection between nature and architecture.
During the festival’s presentation in Madrid, the Mayor of Zaragoza, Natalia Chueca, emphasized the value of Zaragoza Florece as a reflection of the city’s cultural and social dynamism. “Zaragoza Florece is just a sample of how much our city has to offer,” she noted.
He also highlighted Zaragoza’s appeal as a striking tourist destination and emphasized the role of other events such as the Garnacha Festival, the Monumental Tour, and Vive Latino, which contribute to positioning the city as a cultural and economic benchmark.
CHUECA: “ZARAGOZA IS A CITY IN FULL BLOOM”
Chueca also emphasized the vibrant moment Zaragoza is experiencing thanks to the growing interest of technology companies from around the world. “Zaragoza is a city in full bloom,” she stated, noting that this growth goes beyond the cultural sphere and is also reflected in its economic dynamism and innovation. The mayor concluded with a clear image: “a vibrant city, full of energy and light.”
The ZGZ Florece Festival is already a must-see event on the Zaragoza calendar, backed by public enthusiasm and its enormous impact. In 2024, it attracted more than 360,000 people and its social media following exceeded 2 million users. Its success is based on the combination of sensory experiences, entertainment options for all audiences, and a privileged natural setting that transforms over four days into a true floral spectacle.
Behind this event is a solid network of public-private collaboration, according to Zaragoza City Council, which has made its growth and consolidation possible. Major companies such as FCC, Tranvías de Zaragoza, Ibercaja, and Ambar, along with numerous local groups and collaborating firms such as Ikea and Urbaser, have found a space to identify with in ZGZ Florece.
