The United States has bombed three nuclear facilities in Iran : Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. President Donald J. Trump confirmed the operation in an official statement, declaring: “We have completed our very successful attack on all three nuclear sites in Iran… The entire bomb load was dropped on the primary site, Fordow… Now it is time for peace!” According to the statement, all participating aircraft have left Iranian airspace and
are returning without incident.
The US offensive comes amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, which has included
airstrikes, sabotage, and threats between the two sides. Israel has accused Iran of developing nuclear capabilities for military purposes and of supporting armed groups in the region.

Iran, for its part, has denounced Israeli attacks on its military infrastructure and warned of consequences for any attack on its territory.
The US intervention marks a direct action against Iran’s nuclear program. The facilities attacked are among
the most important in that program , and Washington has repeatedly expressed concern about Tehran’s possible development of nuclear weapons . According to US military sources, the objective was to significantly reduce the operational capacity of these plants.
