Thus, residents of Zaragoza and visitors alike will be able to admire everything from figures suspended in the air and hovering over the city center to a giant illuminated seesaw and interactive installations in spaces such as the Alma Mater Museum.

WHAT TO SEE IN ZARAGOZA LUCE: THIS IS WHAT THE ARTISTIC INTERVENTIONS ARE LIKE

The great appeal of Zaragoza Luce 2026 is that the festival doesn’t just illuminate the city; it transforms squares and historic corners into a living stage where light moves, changes, and even responds to the public. This year’s route includes installations designed to impress from afar, as well as interactive works that change according to the movement or presence of visitors.

One of the most eye-catching spots is once again Plaza del Pilar, where large-scale installations play with the open space and the monumental presence of the basilica. The giant illuminated seesaws are a highlight , lighting up as you step on, creating a dynamic spectacle perfect for enjoying in a group or with children. In the same area, residents of Zaragoza can also see “Les Voyageurs” (The Voyageurs) flying over the city.

In the Plaza San Juan de los Panetes is located one of the most immersive proposals: a three-dimensional luminous network placed at a great height, which covers part of the sky of the plaza and completely transforms the perception of the space.

Furthermore, Zaragoza Luce takes advantage of charming spaces such as Plaza San Felipe, the façade of the College of Architects, and the area around the Alma Mater Museum, where the lighting is integrated into courtyards and facades, offering a more intimate, less crowded experience, quite different from the visual impact of Plaza del Pilar. Finally, Plaza de España becomes one of the grand finales of the festival route thanks to the lighting design on the façade of the CaixaBank building, a very central location that often provides one of the most striking images of the festival.

ZARAGOZA LIGHTS 2026 SCHEDULES

The light displays can be visited every night from 7:00 PM to midnight, free of charge, throughout the historic center of Zaragoza.  To avoid crowds, it is recommended to visit after 10:00 PM, as this is when the number of visitors is expected to be lower. Thursdays and Sundays are expected to be the busiest days.
