The Ministry of Industry and Tourism , through SEPIDES , has announced the first grant awards under the Industrial Value Chain Promotion Program (CVI). The provisional resolution allocates a total of €35.7 million to 28 projects. Among these, the project funded by Tereos Starch & Sweetteners Iberia in Zaragoza stands out , receiving €7.8 million .

The program aims to strengthen the competitiveness of Spanish industry by facilitating its transition to a more innovative, sustainable, and digitalized economy . To this end, it promotes projects that foster R&D&I, sustainability and energy efficiency, and digitalization as key drivers for improving productivity, reducing the environmental footprint, and modernizing production processes.

Furthermore, it seeks to strengthen the country’s strategic autonomy by supporting critical sectors through investments that increase the resilience of the industrial fabric and its capacity to adapt to technological and regulatory changes. This new initiative, which unifies and revitalizes the previous R&D and ACTIVA programs of the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, responds to the need to complete the adaptation of the industrial sector to the profound changes taking place in the areas of technological innovation, sustainability, and digitalization.

With this aid program, the Government reinforces its commitment to a stronger, more innovative industry , better prepared to compete in a demanding global environment. The approved investments will enable progress toward a more robust production model , capable of facing future challenges and seizing the opportunities of the green and digital transition.
