The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility opens the website this Monday so that young people between 18 and 30 years old traveling this summer through Spain and Europe can register and obtain the codes that they must use to buy discounted train and bus tickets with up to 90% discount.

In a statement, the Ministry explained that Spaniards and foreigners with legal residence in Spain, born between 1994 and 2006, must register in the form on the website to obtain the personal and non-transferable code. Registration must be carried out at least 24 hours before purchasing the first ticket and the titles can be purchased when the companies finalize the necessary technological changes.

Young people will be able to register through qualified electronic certificates or by entering their first and last name, date of birth and DNI number, along with the validity date. They can also do so through the NIE, together with the support number of the European Union Citizen Registry or the Foreigner Identity Card as appropriate, as well as their nationality and municipality of residence.

The code, made up of the DNI or NIE number and a set of characters, will be sent to the mobile phone or email provided if the young person meets the required requirements. In addition, the code is valid for the entire period and all means of transportation included in the program.

The Council of Ministers approved last week to re-launch this summer the discount program for young people between 18 and 30 years old to travel by train and bus, with discounts of up to 90%, and which this year presents as a novelty that All foreigners of this age group with legal residence in Spain will be able to sign up.

The discounts for traveling between July 1 and September 30 through Spain and on interrail through Europe for those born between 1994 and 2006 will cover from 90% by bus and medium distance by rail to 50% by Avant, high-speed train. and interrail. The allocation for this year will be 130 million euros, 55 million for bus subsidies and 75 million for railways.
