The musical “Chicago” can be seen in Zaragoza at the Fiestas del Pilar 2024

The global phenomenon of musicals, “Chicago”, will land in Zaragoza during the next Fiestas del Pilar 2024 . The story about greed, murder and showbiz full of hits like “All That Jazz” and “Razzle Dazzle” can be enjoyed for two weeks in the Aragonese capital, from October 3 to 13.

The Zaragoza Conference Center will vibrate with the same show that can currently be enjoyed at the Ambassador Theater in New York and will do so as part of a tour that will take it to the main theaters in Spain until 2025. Chicago is a story about greed, murder and show business , packed with hits like “All That Jazz” and “Razzle Dazzle.” The musical has all the elements that make Broadway the cradle of the best musicals: a universal story of fame and fortune, a legendary score and choreography recognized as among the best in history.

Set amid the extravagant decadence of the 1920s, Chicago tells the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer, who maliciously murders her lover when he threatens to leave her.

Desperate to avoid conviction, Roxie deceives the public, the media, and her cellmate and rival, Velma Kelly; and she hires the most skilled lawyer in the city of Chicago, Billy Flynn.
